Research & Development

Genesis Diagnostics strives to provide customers with diagnostic kits of outstanding quality and reliability. Research and development is fundamental to this goal, and combines our scientific expertise and customer focus to produce innovative, highly specific and sensitive diagnostic assays.

Our research and development team actively pursues new leads in diagnostic immunology and is currently involved in a number of national and international research projects. This proactive approach enables us to provide dynamic, new products and improved test methods for patient diagnosis.

We are also actively researching several new technologies for use in both laboratory and point of care use, which should allow faster, cheaper and more user friendly assay systems to be developed.

Our research and development programmes are carried out in state-of-the-art laboratories at Genesis Diagnostics and are conducted in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 and EN13485:2003.

New Developments

GENARRAYT® MICROARRAY
Genesis have developed a new assay system called Genarrayt based on microarray technology.  Originally invented for studying DNA and gene expression, Genesis is now extending this technology to practical diagnostic tests, the first being a test for detecting IgG in the study of intolerances to over 200 foods.

AUTONOMY CONTROL™ SERA
Genesis have also produced a wide range of quality control sera to monitor assay performance and help ensure consistency over time.  Genesis Autonomy Controls have earned an excellent reputation and are used in clinical laboratories world-wide.
